Ken Friedman

Ken Friedman joined the Fluxus group in 1966 as its youngest member. He worked closely with artists and composers associated with Fluxus including George Maciunas, Dick Higgins, and Nam June Paik, as well as collaborating with Mieko Shiomi, Yoko Ono, and John Cage.

As with other Fluxus artists, Friedman’s work interrogates  the idea of art as a form of monetary value or an investment. The piece here is taken from the book-work 92 Events produced as simple text-based scores printed on plain paper. As such, they can be shown or acted upon  in multiple venues around the world at nearly no cost.
